This August, we celebrate our national language—Filipino. But there’s more to this celebration than just knowing when to use nang or ng, raw or daw, rin or din, and kung or kapag, or writing social media posts in pure, straight, and deep Filipino and ending them with the hashtags #WikangPambansa and #Makabayan, or blatantly correcting someone if they mistakenly refer to the language as Tagalog (which, by the way is fairly understandable). It should be about much more.
